Sparkling Summer Ball
On a warm June evening over 200 parents, sixth form girls, staff, governors and friends of PHC gathered for the Butterfly Ball. Following champagne and canapés on the sunny terrace, guests moved into the decorated marquee and enjoyed a sumptuous 3 course dinner whilst entertained by a truly remarkable magician.
After the meal the live group Loose Covers struck up; the girls took over the dance floor and parents, who could not compete, moved to the casino. There was a live auction of Take That tickets and a silent auction of sports tickets, hotel breaks, beauty treatments and other enticing goods.
The Parents' Fund Raising Committee are enormously grateful to the sponsors, advertisers and donors who made the event such a commercial success (over £8000 was raised for the local charity CHIPS and school funds) and for the guests who made it such an enjoyable evening.
