Why Board?

$counter
Life at a girls' boarding school brings many advantages. Girls benefit from a strong sense of community, the enjoyment of living with friends and the chance to develop skills of independence and responsibility. Boarding provides older girls with structured time for demanding examination work, it offers plenty of choices of sporting and leisure activities, and the freedom to organise their own time too. Boarding helps prepare girls for university as the option of community living provides invaluable experience.

Younger girls are helped to develop a good routine with regular working habits and they are given plenty of time to participate in activities and to play with friends.

All girls benefit from the provision of a truly “all-round” education with activities spread throughout the week and fitted into a framework free of travelling.

What are the advantages for parents? For many parents for whom pressure of work and traveling are an increasing problem, flexi or weekly boarding can be an attractive option. Many parents welcome the opportunity to spend the leisure time they do have at the weekends with their children in a relaxed and positive way. Equally they can be secure in the knowledge that, when they are under a lot of pressure during the week, there is plenty going on at school for their daughter that is varied, lively, interesting and safe.
